Michael F. Schmidlehner

Bio
Graduated as “Magister der Philosophie” at University of Vienna, native Austrian with Austrian and Brazilian citizenship, I teach and conduct research primarily in the fields of Amazonia, traditional knowledge, climate justice and society-nature relationships, drawing mainly on discourse-analytic and psychoanalytic theories. Since 2022, I've been pursuing my doctoral study in philosophy at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) in São Paulo. My thesis, translated as "The Foreclosure of Nature," delves into the society-nature relationship in the context of late capitalism.
